Sharon Schamber Lecture

On Thursday evening we had Sharon Chamber lecture. It was an interesting trunk show of her spectacular body of work. Above is one of her early quilts. She also showed pieces that aren't even done yet. Every piece was breathtaking beautiful.

2010 ALCQ Quilt Show

Harmony Moser was the featured quilter at the show this year.
Doris Roades had a table with some of her Feed Sack collection, & talked to visitors.
Here are a few of the quilts from the show. Above was Sandy Winfree's quilt.
This thread-painted tree was by Jackie Carley.
Linda Postelwaite did this all appliqued squares & flowers while watching the Olympics.
Kay Fiero did this "Gotta Sing" quilt.

Several teddy bears & friends were in attendance.


Carol Wight Jones got Viewer's Choice in the large quilt category for her all hand applique' & hand quilted album quilt.
Jan Wills got Viewer's Choice in the medium quilts for her hand applique' quilt, that was machine quilted by Deb Hardman.
Cindy Rainey got the Viewer's Choice for her small "Painted Feathers". She machine quilted it, then painted it. The binding was done after taking a Sharon Schamber class on DVD.
The final Viewer Choice for wearable art, went to Connie Cloud, for her Puppies jacket.


The purse below was by Joyce Webster.
The purple purse was done by Pam Harris.
Elaine Fergen made this little doggie jacket for her Grand-dog.
We had a special visitor, Mary Boggan from Ireland. She stopped by to watch Deb Hardman doing a machine quilting demo, right before the bidding closed on the auction quilts. Mary got 2 to take home to Ireland with her!
