July 3,2014 Day Group Show & Tell

The first quilt for show & tell is this year's raffle quilt! Get your tickets & start selling!

Jackie showed a butterfly flower pot sent to her from her little grand girl.

Shirley finished this piece from the stash for an auction quilt.

She also quilted this panel as a gift for Sarah Palen's parents, as a thank you for them sharing their garden  bounty with her,

Margaret G. made this for the Anchorage Decades in Quilts, representing the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail 
Linda P. made this weather vane quilt.

Linn W. shared 2 baby quilt tops she made,


& a completed, hand quilted quilt for grand babies.

Glenda made 3 quilts for the Decades-quilt challenge.
The first shows downtown buildings & the Log Cabin Quilt Guild.

The 2nd is Bean's Cafe's Empty Bowl project.

The last is First National Bank, where Glenda worked for many years.

She also made this "Biker Chick" quilt inspired by our former member Marge McG.

Deb H. showed her Landscape challenge quilt from the Calendar Girls Challenge.

Doris talked about a story she read, about a Civil War quilter who made quilts & smuggled drugs in them to help soldiers
