January 15 Show and Tell

After the business part of the the January 15 meeting, we enjoyed seeing what some members of our guild have accomplished recently. This blogger apologizes for the poor focus on some images. She is out of practice in photographing "quilters on the move".

Barbara  has practiced with her long arm machine on several comfort quilts.
She also made purses with the Dare to Wear group.
The snowmen in the wall-hanging were made by her granddaughters.
The photographer missed capturing the front of Carol's wintery quilt.

Carol has also been busy quilting, including some quilts for the Teddy Bear Tea service project and a paper-pieced wall-hanging for the upcoming guild show at the Loussac Library.
Karen showed a comfort quilt on which she sewed the binding.
Karen made this table topper using Ricky Tims' Convergence pattern.
Karen will send the finished quilt to the Quilts of Valor program in Texas for women on active duty with PTSD or who have been assault victims.
Kate's wall-hanging was sewn entirely by hand.

Kate showed two woven quilts, examples of a class she will teach at The Quilt Zone shop in February.
Katy pieced this 1600 pattern quilt top at a guild retreat. Then it became the first quilt she quilted on her new long-arm machine.
Pat made a quilt for the Teddy Bear Tea project from scraps left-over from another quilt project.
Rosemary showed a comfort quilt to be given away through one of the social services agencies in Anchorage.
Ruthe has been busy. She finished an appliqué wall-hanging that was a project with the Kept in Stitches group.

She made Teddy Bear quilts from orphan blocks.
She pieced a wall-hanging with the LeMoyne Star block in a Kept in Stitches project.
The large quilt will be a table cloth for February with its hearts and chocolates theme.
Sandra showed a comfort quilt.

Sandy has been felting--a flower wall-hanging and a landscape piece.
She also showed an art quilt made using fabric she had marbled.
Shirley made a colorful Teddy Bear or comfort quilt using scrap squares.
